Overview

Esopump® contains esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid production. It is used to treat acid-related gastrointestinal conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, and erosive esophagitis. Reducing stomach acid helps relieve symptoms and supports healing of the stomach and esophagus.

What Is It Used For?

Esopump® is indicated for:

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Erosive esophagitis
  • Gastric ulcers
  • Duodenal ulcers
  • Prevention of NSAID-associated ulcers
  • Helicobacter pylori eradication (in combination with antibiotics)
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

How It Works

Esomeprazole blocks the proton pumps in the stomach lining that produce acid. By reducing acid production, it relieves symptoms such as heartburn and acid reflux while allowing damaged tissue in the stomach and esophagus to heal.
