Overview

Cardibee® contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker used to help manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain types of chest pain (angina). It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and reducing the workload on the heart.

What Is It Used For?

Cardibee® is indicated for:

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Chronic stable angina (chest pain related to reduced blood flow to the heart)
  • Vasospastic (Prinzmetal) angina
  • Management of coronary artery disease in appropriate patients

How It Works

Amlodipine blocks calcium from entering the muscle cells of blood vessel walls. This causes the blood vessels to relax and widen, which:

  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Improves blood flow to the heart
  • Reduces the effort required by the heart to pump blood
